Duration: 1-3 weeks
Our short-term internships have been designed for those who are looking to embark on their first work experience placement in a low-pressure environment. Lasting for a maximum of three weeks, these placements are ideal for students aged 16-21 with at least an A1 level (IELTS 2.5) of English who want to develop their language capabilities.
Taking place in Dublin, a short-term internship will allow students to get a taste of international work experience and give them the opportunity to test their skills in a variety of roles such as customer service and administration.
Develop your English language skills and gain valuable work experience in Ireland
During a taster internship, you will be responsible for a number of roles that will help to enhance many of your business skills such as your communication and time management. As well as working autonomously, some roles also offer the opportunity to work as part of a team with both providing you with the chance to understand a true business environment.
Students will be able to learn new skills and develop their current ones, increase their business knowledge and develop their English to learn new phrases and enhance their business vocabulary.
Taster internships provide the perfect opportunity to improve students’ conversational skills and expand their vocabulary outside of the classroom. There are a number of placements available in organisations such as offices, gyms, charity shops, food stores and restaurants, allowing students to build upon their ‘soft’ skills.
If you would like to improve your English skills before your placement or feel that you may require extra support, you can combine work experience with tuition at our Dublin English Centre. We have plenty of courses on offer designed to help you improve your language skills in a positive environment.
