We created our GAE (Government Authorized Exchange) Engineering programme to allow international students from outside of the EU and EEA, who have graduated in the UK or overseas, to secure quality engineering work experience to kick-start their career. This offers them the opportunity to enjoy a quality work placement.

Why should I carry out work experience in the UK?

By carrying out engineering work experience in the UK you will benefit from gaining a better understanding of the working culture and lifestyle that we have here, gaining skills and knowledge that can be taken to future roles. Twin offers two services under this programme. Firstly, we can provide GAE Visa sponsorship to eligible candidates who have successfully and independently found their own work placements in the Engineering sector. Secondly, we work with reputable host businesses to offer the best placements for our students in a variety of engineering fields, so you can be sure that you will be placed in a position that best suits your needs.

UK engineering internships are ideal for non-native English speakers as you also have the chance to practise your English in a real-life environment and expand your vocabulary to add engineering-specific terminology, which is beneficial if you want to work in a multi-national company. You will also be able to add highly regarded UK work experience to your CV which will make you stand out against other candidates as you progress with your career.
